"Crime Prevention is the anticipation, the recognition, and the appraisal of a crime risk and the initiation of action to remove or reduce that risk. "- National Crime Prevention Institute of USA
Our aim is to help build and strengthen Canadian communities. We do this by publishing articles that promote community awareness and alternative solutions to creating safer communities. We believe that information is the strongest resource to building a strong foundation for our future. This is why we take pride in the relationships we hold with various law enforcement and government agencies, community and youth groups, associations, and facilitators throughout the country. It is with their help that we are able to provide your community with relevant and quality information.
We have focused on two groups that play an integral part in Canadian communities; Canadian Youth, and Canada’s First Peoples. We believe that we can provide the proper information to help both groups reach their full potential. To maximize our audience, physical copies of our publications are distributed free of charge to local communities, while digital copies of our publications can be found online.
Currently, our publication line up consists of 3 titles; Crimesense Magazine (Ottawa edition & Peel/Halton edition), First Nation, and Native & Inuit.
Vantage Publishing Group has been present in local communities across Canada since 1990. It originally started with the Ontario Police News Publication, with Canada’s Community Police Publication, Trans. Comm. Media Magazine, and the High Tech Web Crime Magazine joining the ranks a few years later. The First Nation Yearbook and Native & Inuit Yearbook also stood as a branch of Vantage Publishing Group.
For its 20th anniversary, Vantage Publishing Group decided to revamp and take a new approach to reaching readers. Thus, Crimesense Magazine was created.
